Multi-Level Care Options
At the Weinberg Multi-Level Care Unit, Jewish seniors are treated to superior care in a culturally rich environment.
A care team of Nurses, Care Aides, Social Worker, Gerontologist, Recreation Therapists, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian and Rehabilitation Assistants tailor services to meet the unique needs of each person.
Five residency
options are available:
• Long Term Stay
This option will suit individuals for whom long term care is required.
Assistance is provided with all activities of daily living including dressing,
bathing, grooming and eating.
• Respite
Care
The Weinberg Residence offers caregivers the opportunity to have a break
from caregiving with the confidence that their loved one is receiving
quality care. The length of a stay varies depending on the need of caregivers.
• Palliative
Support
Palliative care provides end of life care in a safe and nurturing environment.
The Weinberg care team has expertise in providing complete nursing care,
pain assessment and comfort relief, grief and bereavement counseling and
spiritual and religious support.
• Convalescent
Care
This option suits individuals post hospital discharge who feel they aren’t
quite ready to manage at home. By convalescing at the Weinberg Residence,
patients can regain strength, independent functioning and ultimately the
ability to return home.
• Out
of Town Stay
Wouldn’t it be great to bring your elderly parent or relative to
Vancouver for a visit? Perhaps your home and/or schedule cannot accommodate
their needs. The Weinberg Residence is a safe environment for your loved
one to stay!
Every Care Package includes:
- 24 hour nursing care
- 3 kosher meals a day and nutritional snacks
- Rehabilitation services emphasizing safety, comfort and maintenance of strength, independence and cognitive functioning
- Therapeutic Recreation programs encouraging and supporting socialization
- Membership in the Abrasha & Chava Wosk Synagogue and celebration of all Jewish holidays, festivals and Shabbat
- Elegantly furnished private rooms
- Opportunity for assessment, transition support and family counseling
